The Lowther shop is situated in a corner of the courtyard, in what were pony boxes. The slots for the hay mangers can still be seen.
The shop is full of a wide range of goodies including bespoke Lowther items: The Yellow Earl, in a specially designed cover, by Douglas Sutherland; mugs with the Lowther dragon logo; pencils and rubbers and small items bearing the dragon; postcards, fridge magnets and t-shirts too. Jim Lowther’s honey, from bees reared on the estate, is a particular favourite.
More broadly, you can find jewellery and hats and scarfs and presents and items large and small that you might not find elsewhere. We pride ourselves on being extra picky when it comes to stock, choosing things that are that little bit unusual. We hope you enjoy your visit.
